Travel Info I will be going to greece need to know if i need electrical outlet adapter? Travel Tips Check out the link in the "sources" section. Scroll down to "Search by country" and pick Greece. The table will guide you to pics A and B. Greek appliances are equipped with 2-pin plugs. The three pin ones are not in use any more. Sockets "A" are used for appliances such as PCs, hair dryers, fridges, electric cookers, coffee makers, fans, heaters, washing machines etc. Sockets "B" are used for alarm clocks, mobile phone chargers, bedside lamps, food processors, TV sets, video - CD - DVD players and other "small" appliances. The pins of a type A plug are a bit wider than the ones of a type B. Therefore, all type A and B appliances will fit in a type A socket, but type A plugs will not fit in type B sockets. My guess is that your room will be equipped with a type A socket. It really depends where you are travelling from. If it's the UK, US, Australia etc you'll definitely need an adaptor. Make sure it has only 2 pins. Source(s): http://www.interpower.com/icl/guide.htm... Other Travel Tips yes You sure will they have differnt power in europe, if your hotel is a nice one it might have one for you. Depends where your coming from? Airports etc always have them stocked up to fit your countries sockets. They use a three pin outlet there. You will need an adapter. All power will be 50Hz so the appliances set up for 60Hz run a little slower. Perhaps you do. Ask in Sakiotis electric store, referring your country. Follow the link |
