Greece Ferries, and getting around from island to island..? |
Travel Info I want to know if the ferries are the best way to get around from island to island. I am going to milos, santorini, and crete. i was looking up ferry reservations and they mentioned something like male and female are seperate, whats up with that? I am travelling with my girlfriend and would like her to sit by me! Travel Tips I think the separation thing is about cabins! They have cabins with 4 beds and you end up sharing with strangers! They do have some double cabins available though, but they book up very quickly. You can of course also just take DECK tickets or reserve one of the reclining chairs in a side lounge area. Depends on the ferry company and the length of your trip. Ferries are the most economical way to get around, but many are overnight and call at numerous islands along the way, so the timetable gets a little screwed up during the peak season and there are delays. You can pay a bit more and take the Superfast, Hydrofoils & Flying Dolphins - they get there in half the time - but cost about twice as much! Source(s): Live in Greece Other Travel Tips |
