What is your opinion about Greece?

Greece is a paradise !
I suggest you to go to have your own opinion.
I will visit Kalymnos Island this summer.
I've also suggest Santorini (the best place I have never been), Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Myconos, Mylos and of course Athens.

There are many reasons that I think that this place is a paradise:
Great history, many places to see, amazing blue see, beautiful islands, no hurricanes, no sharks, nothing to fear, very safe place (specially for women), friendly people and very very good food. Don't forget low prices!

I think you haven't a "right" opinion. You said "they drink too much!" according stats they are approx at the end to the chart of drinking in Europe, you said they eat unhealthy food" but Greek type food known as "Mediterranean food" is the best way to keep your health. Yes they smoke but not more than Americans. But they are kind and friendly too as anyone else in the world.
Athens is crowded and polluted but not so much as Chicago or New York or Huston. But it has a great history and anybody can walk during midnight hours in the roads and he/she has been very safe (not as in American cities). Anyway that's your opinion, thanks for answering. The Aegean islands are great. Athens has a lot of interesting historic stuff, but crowded and polluted.
