Other Travel Tips You have to be sure to go to the Athens flea market and visit the Acropolis!! It use to be back in the mid 70's where one could walk right up to the Acropolis but now they have a chicken wire fence up to it. I'm sure you would still have a wonderful time if you go. Also be sure to visit the famous tomb of the unknown soldier and the wonderful parks and squares. Don't miss the beaches either!!!!! Personal experience! That is why vacations are great in Greece, like in Rhodes, islands, Athens, etc.! Because you do not need to pre-arrange to get the most out of it! When you are there, you are more wise and enjoy what really you want! Arrange for for free time to be there, maybe secure some accommodations and the rest will be arranged by the Gods of Greece! Dont Worry. Things will happen that you would never of expected. Go out to experience their nightlife, its unbelievable. Awesome nightlife! Try if you can to get a bunch of people to gether and start a fire on the shore. THings will just happen! IM telling you. and dont leave unless you stay up one night to see the sun rise at 6 o clock in the morning. It will be a time you will never forget! When in Athens visit Kipseli by bus or taxi. Then while there go to "Fokianos Negri", 桅慰魏喂伪谓慰蟼 螡蔚纬蟻喂蟼. A great street with lots of shops and out door cafes with a lot of crowds at night. Very cool. Even cool during the day. Not as expensive as the regular tourist spots. But be sure to visit all the tourist spots because they are fun, memorable and not as expensive as the rest of Europe.
