Travel Info I'm scared of heights..anything I can do to change that? Travel Tips well u can try out some cool rollercoaster rides.. i suggest go for bunji jumping.. its awesome!! nothin is more thrilling than a free fall.. i guess all ur fear will disappear after that! Others yep what i did was get on the tallest roller coaster i could find and once i did all my frightness of hieghts left and the ride was awsome lol Don't bother yourself trying.. I'm scared of heights too.. i did a lot of things but it all failed.. i'm still so scared.. It's something you born with and you may not try to change.. I'm scared of heights, but it is not the height, it is the fear of falling that you are really afraid of. I took up rock climbing and I also like rappelling down large cliffs, into caves and off structures in the air. There are various treatments for phobias, and some people do get over their fears. I have a terrible fear of hieghts as well (and I do ride rollercoasters!). Most people will tell you to just face your fear. I've done this and still do. Over several years, it has helped a bit but I'm still afraid of heights. Remind yourself you are in a safe place. Try not looking straight down, or straight up as both seem (for me anyway) to give that feeling of vertigo. Work through it second by second with someone you trust. Eventually it will become tolerable for extended periods of time. Do NOT force yourself! If you feel that nasty anxiety sensation overpower you, step back into a safe area until you are ready to try it again. Best of luck! |
