Does anyone know if comforters in hotels/motels are washed in between guest visits? |
Travel Info It's kinda gross to think about it but really it needs to be asked. I know they change the sheets so I am just wondering if they wash the comforters as much as they wash the sheets. Travel Tips They don't change them. They are only washed, I believe, every couple of months. I agree it really disgusting, the whole concept of a hotel is kind of gross if you think about it. But I never use the comforter, just pull back to the edge of the bed. That is why they have the blankets and things with the sheets. Others i read an article that said that comforters are washed on average once every 60-90 days, even in the expensive hotels I used to work at a hotel as a housekeeper and was appalled to learn that they only washed the comforter once a month or if it had something on it that would be noticeable.I don't know what other hotels do but let me tell ya I was thoroughly disgusted to learn that about my former workplace. No, they don't. I worked in a hotel for four years and only seen it happen four times. I worked in a hotel as a cleaner for a few months when I was young. The market was focused on Jewish travelers and the comforters were washed each time someone checked out. |
