One of the worst experiences of my life was when German police brutalized me in Frankfurt years ago for NO reason. I am a professional, American, almost 55 and offered them NO resistance or problems, but rather complete cooperation and yet they did what they did, and believe me, that will never be forgotten. I have also watched them shake down, search and physically abuse others in my nearly 23 years in Germany, normally minorities and the helpless. I seriously wonder about my host country, and specifically mayor Petra Roth's administration and "Beamter" when I see that. I am surprised no one has been killed during this World Cup. Anyone else seen some of these present-day Nazis in action? I have many German friends and am hesitant to use such a term, but these people are UNNECESSARILY brutal. Why???? |
