Travel Info Where is the best place to stay in hawaii? Travel Tips Well, if speaking about islands, it depends on what you are looking for. Oahu - more cosmopolitan, has lots of nightlife and very touristy. Hawaii (Big Island) - volcanoes and Coffee Maui - Road to Hana is a good thing - took half a day and off roading...also, nice relaxing hotels and resorts. I would suggest, that depending on the length of your stay, and its your first time, I would recommend, staying in Honolulu (OAHU) and then doing island hopper trips - very inexpensive if you book before you get there on either Hawaiian or Aloha airlines. Which Island are you staying at? my house In Honolulu, the best hotel would be the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It is the largest hotel on the island, and is right on the beach.
