I did that in Honolulu - start your maximum at around $40 a night, and increase it by $5 if that doesn't work. You should be able to get a place between $45 and $60 a night - the cheapest hotels go for around $80 a night under normal circumstances, but if you use priceline.com, you can get rooms for much less. $1500 should be more than enough to cover it for one person, and that would include food. Others ask that question to a travel agent and they will make it happen. I recently booked a honeymoon to hawaii through one, and I told her exactly what i want and for how much and she did it. Just be firm with them. try expedia.com. they have great deals on booking all your stuff together. i think that 1500/person is reasonable (not including food and fun while you are there though) |
