What are some cool sightseeing places in houston that most people don't know about? |
Travel Info Just some places that only locals know about, like cullen park...or george bush park. NOT popular attractions like the zoo or anything. Been there. done those already Thanx! Bike trails are appreciated too! Travel Tips You probably already know about the Montrose area - very fun to just walk around and go in stores (one end of the Montrose area on Westheimer is antiques and tea shops, etc - the other end is more Vintage Clothing stores and music shops). If you enjoy the outdoors, I love Bear Creek park which is north of I-10 off of Hwy 6. They have lots of trails for biking or walking and tons of picnic tables and BBQs. The trees are very nice there and you don't feel like you are in the city at all. It is a huge park and has football fields and baseball diamonds as well as a small collection of animals (goats, buffalo, and llamas.) Others great! Thanx! You can see the culture. Go to the SwamiNarayan Temple. Beautiful. Westheimer is great and there is also a little strip of shops on Harwin Dr. off of West Park Tollway. There the shops used to be known for their knowckoff bags and such but now they are mostly known for they're great accesories at great prices. Houston's and Aries are the best restaurants in town. I would suggest visiting the theatre district as well because you can see some great plays there. Hope you have fun in Houston! GO TO THE WATER WALL NEXT TO THE WILLIAMS TOWER. FARMERS MARKET ON AIRLINE. TRADERS VILLAGE. IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD, GO DRINK BEER UNDER THE CHEMISTRY BUILDING AT RICE UNIVERSITY, AT A PLACE CALLED VALHALLA. GO HANG OUT UNDER THE PIERCE ELEVATED AND DRING BEER THERE TOO. ITS A VAST CITY, WITH LOTS OF THINGS TO DO. |
