Travel Info Taking a trip this summer - also, any good/bad weeks to be there? Travel Tips Well, it really depends on what you're into. Indianapolis is a pretty decent sized city with a lot to offer from theater to country clubs to sports bars. Unless you're actually here for the Indy 500, that's a bad time to be here - hotels are hard to find and traffic is nuts. And Maggiano's is the best Italian restaurant, not Buca. :P Cheeseburger in Paradise is also a good/fun restaurant - karaoke twice a week and live bands the rest of the week. Howl at the Moon is a fun dueling piano bar - very fun - don't arrive any later than 7:30 p.m. or it's standing room only. You can do the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight on Saturdays at Hollywood Bar & Filmworks. Or you can catch lots of other good movies there. There's the Indy 500 museum - I haven't been there since I was a kid but it's supposed to be pretty cool. Lots of stuff to do, just depends on what you like. Others GO TO THE INDY 500!!!!!!!!!!!1 Bucca De Pepa (Sp.?) The best Italian restaurant on earth. |
