Travel Tips
Everything in the Overland Park (Johnson County), KS area is overpriced. My advice would be to get a hotel in Missouri and drive over to Kansas. Which hotel?? That's a whole other bear. Being that I have lived in Kansas City all of my life, I don't even pay attention to what hotels are around. I'm drawing a blank. I know there is a Marriott and a Sheraton on The Plaza but I don't know if you want to make that commute (and I'm sure they're a bit pricey). Sorry I couldn't be of much more assistance.

Others
Try the red room inn off I435 in Overland Park or the Days Inn by the oak park mall in Lenexa

The Amerisuites on 110th and Nall is nice and not too pricey. The one on 110th and Metcalf is nice also.
I've stayed at both.
