The rent was about $US1500/mo. for a furn 2 br. The complex was very upscale with a pool and daily maid service. If you want no-frills in a poorer area but still safe, approx $400. If you want to live in a shanty, maybe $50, but you will probably be robbed of your possessions as your neighbors/landlord see you go out.
