Anyone been to Maldives for summer vacation? |
Travel Info How do you rate Maldives for summer vacations?any recommendatio? any good hotels? Travel Tips Ive been there twice although it was more in Autumn (November and October respectively). The place I had been to last year, was Hakuura Club. A place with value for money. After the complete refurbishment (which was unfortunately necessary after the tsunami), the spacious water bungalows are perfect. It's an all inclusive place (including alcoholic drinks) with 3 daily buffets. The only disadvantage is that the water is quite shallow for swimming and snorkeling close to the island but they do have regular boat trips twice a day (f.o.c.) besides the chargeable diving trips. The only trade-off is that they are far away and you definitely need a plane trip from Male, which of course doesn't come cheap. However, if the weather is clear, it's of course a perfect 40 minutes scenic flight across the Maldives and a great way to start your vacation! |
