What to see in Amsterdam? |
Travel Info I'll be spending next weekend there with my wife. Looking for anything but the standards (Rijksmuseum, Anne-Frank-House etc.) Thanks! Travel Tips I would recommend taking a walk along Prinsengracht (its the most beautiful canal) Visiting Madame Tussaud's wax museum Visiting the sex museum on Liedseplein (its not it the red light district) Having late night drinks on Rembrandtplein at a cafe Taking a canal tour on one of the boats Having a bottle of wine and some fondue at a little place called Mulliners on Lijnbaansgracht 266-267 (near prinsengracht and leidseplein) you won't find many tourists there, just friendly people and good food and wine at a reasonable price (and possibly a friendly house cat) Tushinski theatre to see a movie in a beautiful old building with plush seats and balconies, where you can even drink champagne while watching a movie. Others pot and hookers ;) enjoy think you should watch Deuce Bigalo european jiggalo. Might get some ideas from him! Best coffee shop is definitely Barney's and it's got a nice bar/restraunt attached next door. Walk through the Red Light district after 10pm that is a blast. The zoo/aquarium is very nice. Van Gogh museum and Anne Frank house are also popular attractions. Take my word, no matter what you do there you will have a blast! My own trip to Amsterdam last New Years! If you're into tourist sights go to the Anne Frank museum or consider the Cannabis museum. I saw the anne frank meusem, go early on in the day the line is huge I reccomend it. I saw the vincent vangue meusem to I recommend going their. If you have kids theirs a sceince center. |
