Travel Info Where is the best place to stay when visiting Niagra Falls? Travel Tips Under the tree, on the grass right in front of the falls!! I'm NOT kidding!! I've done it myself with two of my buddies :p we were broke and good for us, it was one of the hottest summer days... so just pack some food, a blanket, mosquito repellent, candles, a few friends, etc... it's worth it!! Others Unless you have lots of money you might want to stay somewhere a short distance (half an hour to an hour) away such as Fort Erie, St. CAtherines, etc. and drive to Niagaa Falls. Depends on your needs ... if your trip is for a honeymoon then that might be different. My house is really great but we are a little shy about strangers so I'd recommend a hotel or motel Now the q's for you is what are you able to spend and what do you want to do here. Because the new seneca/Niagara casino has just built an AWESOME cool place but $$$$ the hampton is nice and so is the Holiday inn near the falls the suburbs have some decent motels I know some of these places and even some of the owners of these places camping exists as well also bed and breakfast there is a really cool one right near the falls but again $$$$ ARE you driving or some other form of transportation? First, do not stay in the hotels that offer views of the falls. They cost too much for what you get. Look for hotels on Expedia or travelocity or Hotels.com and look for those 3 to 5 blocks from the falls. They are generally reasonably priced. If you have a car, try those a little further away on Stanley Ave and on Lundy Lane. Remember, with the exchange rate your dollar is worth $1.25 or so in Canada. |
