Travel Info Is the view of Niagara Falls better from the American or the Canadian side? Travel Tips The Canadian falls are much more impressive, and you will probably get the best view of them from the American side, where you can get great panoramic views of both the Horseshoe [the Canadian falls] and American Falls As for which falls are the best, I would have to say Horseshoe Falls on the Ontario side is much more impressive. Those are the falls that you think of when you image or see pictres of Niagra falls. The water on that lip falls an awesome 52 meters compared to the 28 meter American Falls. The Horseshoe falls in Canada are usually what people think of when referring to the Niagara Falls (which refers to three separate falls in the area, including horseshoe). Definitely worth the trip. The horseshoe falls are notable for their distinctive curved horseshoe shape, which is especially dramatic when viewed from a boat like The Maid of The Mist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/niagara_fal... The Canadian side is better than the US side. especially in the night when you can see the colourfull lights turned on. It's hard to say. I like the view from the US side because it shows the Canadian array of hotels and such and looks really nice. From the Canadian looking at the US side, the city isn't too appealing but the falls look great. Nonetheless, it's best to do both since each side is great for pictures. i think its better form American side |
