How to do Disneyworld on a budget? |
Travel Info I want to take my mom and my 2 girls to Disneyworld and see there are a lot of economical hotels but wonder about how they really are? And if there are any tips out there on how to have fun on a budget and any other tidbits on doing disneyworld like how to do and see things in just a week, time savers/budget tricks? Travel Tips 1) Visit during the off season. Room rates vary, depending on the time of the year. Take advantage of the discounts! You can find discount codes on www.mousesavers.com. 2) Visit a planning site like www.allearsnet.com, which has virtually anytihing you'd ever want to know. For example, in the past I have used their menus (which include prices) to come up with a meal budget, and it was within $3 of my estimate when I completed my vacation. 3) Instead of buying a package, buy each component (hotel, rental car, tickets, etc.) separately. For example, you can save on tickets at a site like www.ticketmania.com. But be VERY careful where you buy your tickets, as there are a lot of timeshare scam places that will trick you with low prices into having to take a tour or buying bogus tickets. 4) If you're adventurous, you can get a cheap rental car and a Downtown Disney-area hotel via Priceline. You won't know where you're staying, but the deals can be excellent. www.biddingfortravel.com has great information on using Priceline.
