Any suggestions for a honeymoon trip? |
Travel Info What would be the best 3 week itinerary through either Asia or Europe within a budget of US$4,000 for the couple?? Travel Tips I'm not going to go into a full itinerary, but here are some quick ideas. Switzerland is awesome if you like mountains, valleys and waterfalls. Consider taking a train from Zurich to St. Moritz and spend a day or two there. The train ride, about 4 hours in length, is jaw-droppingly beautiful. I believe you can then go on to Zermatt, where the Matterhorn is located, via train. That ride is supposed to beautiful as well. The towns of Lucern and Interlaken are also very nice. If you do go to Europe, make sure you get a Eurarail pass and pay the small extra for first class. One or two train rides at normal price can be more expensive than a Eurarail pass. If you go to Asia, Thailand is a must-do. The sights and foods there are out of this world. Japan is cool, but very urban and modern. If you want to be mostly in concrete environments, this is for you. Hong Kong is nice as well, but also pretty urban and modern. Europe would definitely be more romantica and my pick. Others I would recommend Madeira island, Portugal. http://www.madeirahelp.com South East Asia, your money goes a lot further. Really recomend Kecil, the smallest of the Perinthian Islands, off North East Malaysia. Then you can go South to Borneo & Indonesia or North to Thailand & Laos island of Mauritius is wonderful Well, if Asia is your choice and have at least two weeks, go look at the All Asia Pass of Cathay Pacific (www.cathay-usa.com). It has many itineraries and for about 1200 bucks all the airfare to all the countries are included. Only the hotels and the incidentals (i.e. sidetrips, meals etc.) are not included. www.cathay-usa.com |
