Which is the best cruise line for the money that goes to the carribean? |
Travel Info Which is the best cruise line for the money that goes to the carribean? Travel Tips I went on Carnival last year to the Carribean and loved it. Here are some things to keep in mind: One: Don't bother paying extra money for a room with a balcony or window. You pretty much only go in your room to shower, sleep, and change your clothes. Cruises are very social, if you want them to be, or, at the very least, there's lots to do other than hang in your room. Just get an interior room to save money. Two: Food is free, but you pay for tips. You can tip as much or little as you want. Beverages (except water) are not free. Plan on spending a lot here, drinks are priced like the prices at regular bars (Depends on the quality of the alcohol). You'll be able to drink more because you don't have to drive... ever! Three: You have to pay for a lot of on-shore activities, but if you want to do it cheap, just pay a couple of bucks to taxi somewhere to shop. Some islands you don't even have to taxi, you can just walk. Plan on maybe two days where you pay for an activity like scuba diving or jeep excursions, etc. I think that any cruise is essentially a bargain for what you get: food included, everything is right there on the boat, so you don't waste time driving all over a city like you would if you just went to a destination and toured one place. Have fun! Cruises are so much fun! Bring a few nice outfits, a few beachy outfits, a few regular outfits, and a few "club" outfits. You'll be all set. Others I wouldn't actually know, but you can always check a discount site like Expedia or Travelocity, though I've heard that Carnival is considered discount. http://www.expedia.com http://www.travelocity.com |
