Modern x-ray machines also allow fim with an iso of 400 or lower to be safely scanned. Any faster kind of film (800, 1600), usually the domain of pro photographers, must be manually inspected. Also keep in mind that x-ray damage to film is cumulative, so if you'll be passing through the machines many times, even iso400 film won't be safe - you'll want to ask for manual film inspection as much as you can.
