Which city or province of France for RENTING A ROOM is the CHEAPEST? (Especially for summer)?

Travel Info
I am a chinese girl and live in spain now. I want to go to France to learn french for two months. Can anybody here help me find some information for renting a cheap room or youth hostel in France?
I wonder which part of france is cheaper for living ( not for eating, for renting room, I mean)
Thank you!!!
P.S I want to make french friends and friends from other countries who can speak french.
My email is woaifrance@yahoo.fr

Travel Tips
A very good thing to do is to get in touch with business schools around main cities (Lyon, Paris, Toulouse). Most of them have a campus, and you can rent a room there, or even share a room with a roomate (that would be very inexpensive for you)
Hope this helps!
Love and kisses
P.S. I'm french, message me if you want ;)

Others
Massif Central is a one of the cheapest regions, I believe.
If you want to go to a language school, you'll want to live near the school. Choose a school, and they should help you with the housing.

Paris will be more expensive than any other major city, but most of the other larger cities will be about the same price. Staying in a village out in the country would be the cheapest, but not a good place to study French.
You have to go to a big city to meet people and to study French. If you want a cheap accommodation, you have to live in the suburb. Go to Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseilles. They are really beautiful and big cities.
