Why does everybody think Parisians are rude? They are always very nice and polite to me :-)

Travel Tips
That is a good question. I went to France in 1999 and the French were SO polite, funny, and welcoming to me and my group of American students on a class trip. They arent rude...it would help if you knew the language before you went over there, or they would get annoyed with you...which I totally think some Americans deserve...n'est pas?

Others
There are some rude ones. But any big city have them.
who said that, i think every where in the world there is the nice and the bad people, so who think in that way isn't right.
i think you have not been to france then.
bye
Probably because they never got to really know any of them.
People judge other way to quickly and will often blindly take the opinions of their friends whether they are true or not.
It's because people like stereotypes. It is easier than getting to know someone. At least you speak from experience. I have only been to Paris once and had no problems with the people there but i was only there for one day so I am in no position to say what they are really like.
