Cheap transportation tickets to the Philippines?

Travel Tips
Korean Air is cheap, and it's good if travelling from the East coast especially from Washington DC. However, booking a schedule is tough since there are times that flights aren't available on certain days you desire. For me flying from the East Coast to Manila, I always prefer to take Northwest. Even though it has two stops before finally hitting Manila the availabilty of planes and scheduling is easy. From West Coast, I believe the best is Philippine Airlines; speaking of PAL, they have buy on take one promo when booking Mabuhay and First Class.

I heard Korean Airlines have cheap tickets. But i dont use that airlines. I use Philippine Airlines.
I have flown several times from Atlanta.

I have flown to LAX from Atlanta on Delta and, then, connected with Philippine Airlines which usually stops for about an hour in Hawaii on the way to Manila (In the middle of the night. We were not allowed off the plane.).

I have flown with Korean Air from Atlanta to Seul, Korea where I connected with Philippine Airlines.

I've bought round trips for between $1400 and $1700, but I always buy my tickets 4-6 months in advance. I have seen the same trip for as high as $3000. Prices will vary with the time of the year. I've noticed cheaper trips when buying tickets in the month March - June and Sept - November. Once you get into July and December... prices rise quite sharply.

Usually, I do all my arrangements via Yahoo Travel. They've never failed me.

Let me add that I've gotten consistent excellent service with both PA and KA.
