Does poland have a national tree? |
Travel Info Does poland have a national tree? Travel Tips Tough one. I'm Polish and I have no idea. Though, there is a very famous and very old tree in the village of Kotwasice, it is about 500 - 1,000 years old and it remembers the times when the kings ruled the country. It's an oak called "Bartek". It is a symbol of our history. But there is no national tree if you mean a kind of a tree, like pine or cypress. Others yes. i also thing our national tree would be oak (essp. those ancient obnes from old woods). for highland areas id say some pines and considerring folk culture - linden, guelder-rose (i took names from dictionary, not sure if they are adequat;)) :) |
