Hi, we are planning a trip to Poland -- what might be an idea for some gifts to bring friends from the US? |
Travel Info I know that it can be difficult to get certain things in Eastern Europe that we take for granted here in the US. Some gifts for kids, maybe, and hostess gifts? Thanks so much for your help! Travel Tips HA! you will get an anwser from a polish guy who lives in United States... Bring polish beer... i recommend Warka Strong. If not beer then i guess you can always go to plan B. Buy a red and white scarf with word poland on it. support us! :P Others I went to Poland on a mission campaign last summer and LOVED it!!! The jackets, scarves and t-shirts that say Poland on them are awesome and the pottery there is AMAZING! It was a big hit with my family and friends. The chocolate...omg...INCREDIBLE!!... The pottery was probably my fave, but you can find the clothing everywhere (mostly with vendors on the street). If you go to Warsaw (where I spent most of my time) there is a market in Centrum (Downtown) and they have jut about everything there. I don't know much about anywhere other than Warsaw and Krakow though. Krakow has a market in downtown that is really neat. I got some really pretty (and cheap!) jewelry boxes that were cedar, and my sister and friends loved them. The exchange rate is great for that kind of stuff and its got an authentic feel to it! |
