What are some fun things to do in Quebec in March? Anything I should know before I go there? |
Travel Info Three of my girl friends and I are going to Quebec for a week in March, and we were wondering about fun stuff to do - clubs, restaurants, activities, must see places, etc. Also any general "travel to Quebec" tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Travel Tips all of the hot clubs and places to be seen are on the Grande All茅e. i suggest Chez Dagobert or Maurice's. Cosmos is an excellent caf茅. it would be worth the taxi fare out to the suburbs to go to a caberet called Palais. $3 cover and open bar on Thurs. The local watering holes are on Rue St. Jean. all are good choices. my fav's were Chez Son Pere and Pub St Patrick. the absolute best crepes in town are at Crepe Casse Breton. the local chocolate shop Erico was featured on Food Network and believe me, it does not disappoint. some great things to do would be a cruise on the St. Laurence, visit the Musee de la Civilisation and Plains d'Abraham. for me, the best thing to do is just walk the streets and get lost in history. be intimate with the city and it will reward you. Patrick's day parade in montreal...this is a big event and unofficially heralds the beginning of the end of winter here... visit montreal mirror, hour and montreal Gazette websites. they are the two free anglo arts papers, the gazette is the daily paper (anglo). I would try to visit Quebec city too but cant say anything about what to do there...enjoy....
