Travel Info What should I visit in Queenstown, New Zealand? Travel Tips I spent the month of December in NZ both islands-top to bottom, east to west and Queenstown was my favorite town. Fact is, the town is very small and easily accessible on foot. Everything is centralized with lots or tourist attractions that are advertized everywhere. Bungee jumping, Boating, Hang Gliding etc. all very expensive but right there. My favorite part of Queenstown was the night life. Several good bars, clubs, restaurants, street performers etc.. It's a youthful party town...all in walking distance. You can pick up a pocket guide for the town at a convenience store. We actually went back to Queenstown 3 times during the visit. Also, be sure to check out the Fjords on the west coast. A long day trip from Queenstown, but worth the sites. Send me an email if you have any other questions about NZ. It's a wonderful place. dentedtwo@yahoo.com Others i think u should visi nz becaus eit is the best There's lots to visit and plenty of options when you get to Queenstown, unlike other places you don't necessarily need to know in advance, but let me give you the best advice from experience... Make sure you do a jetboat ride, BUT don't get ripped off and do the Shotover jet (no matter what the commision selling person tells you) do the Kawarau jet, much better trip and value for money (and I've done both) There are heaps of options, as outlined above. Here is my top picks: 1. Gondola 2. Shotover Jet or Kawarau jet 3. Bars & Restaurants 4. Bungee Jump 5. Skiing (if in winter) 6. Daytrip to Milford Sound You should go bungee jump in Queenstown. It's the highest in NZ (134 meters) and 2nd highest in the world. Also, you should go to this park and check out the lake (sorry I forgot name of the park and the lake). Milford Sound is only few hours drive away and this place is a world heritage place. Definitely check it out! |
