Travel Info Want some place, modern, safe and also near restaurants and shopping with good deals on womens shoes and clothing. Also plan to do some historical tours. Travel Tips I went to Salvador many times and the best place to stay is this neighbourhood: Rio Vermelho, it's in the middle of the city, so you won't spend too much on cabs. It's close to the nicest beaches, malls, good bars, restaurants and historic spots. The best hotel: Pestana. Nice view, swimmingpool, pool bar, sauna, jaccuzzi, nice staff, great rooms, private beach with free shuttle. Simply perfect.
