Going to San Diego the last week of March and I'm wondering what to expect.?

Travel Info
My family, Hubby & I along with 3 kiddos (9,7 &5) and I'm wondering what some of the not-so-obvious things are to do there. Something that might stand out in their minds when the "remember when" talks start. Also, what type of weather should we expect? We're from Wisconsin, so we'll just be getting rid of the snow then!

Travel Tips
If March is anything like last year expect rain and day time temperatures about 60F. Generally temps run about 68F and the sun is out, but March is the rainiest month here.

The San Diego zoo is one of the world's best, and I think they may like La Jolla, especially down at the beach where the seals plop themselves.

Leggo World, from what I gather, is a total drag for anyone over the age of 8.

Others
Having survived another Wisconsin winter, I would guess that your family will be happy to experience the basic stuff San Diego has to offer: nice, warm, sunny weather.

1) Relax at Mission Beach (http://www.sandiego.gov/lifeguards/beach... where's there's a lot of stuff for the whole family to enjoy.

2) Walk the trails at beautiful Torrey Pines State Reserve (http://www.torreypine.org/). You won't find anything as wonderful and fresh as a stroll along the park's beautifully maintained walking trails atop a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

3. Balboa Park has a lot of activities for the entire family. (http://www.balboapark.org/).

San Diego Harbor Cruises

They have cruise that are only an hour and some up to 3 hours for whale watching. The hour cruise shows navy ships, the san diego skyline, and sometimes sealions/seals.

La jolla Cove

La jolla Shores

a nicer beach than Mission beach for hanging out at the beach

Mission Beach has an old wooden roller coaster...

Maybe check out balboa park.
