MTHOMAS gave you a pretty darn good list. A lot really depends on your age, lifestyle and interests. The Zoo for sure. Visit Tijuana if you would like to visit Mexico for a day. Pacific Beach has a great nightlife as does the Gaslamp area downtown. Read the list mthomas gave you and a lot of the sites described are pretty evident as to what you can expect to find.
