Does anyone have first-hand experience staying at Vagabond Inn Point Loma, San Diego? |
Travel Info I am considering staying here for 3 days and the online pictures seem nice, but the reviews at: http://www.hotels.com/property.do?search... rate it low. Anyone stay here recently? Travel Tips I stayed there about 2 months ago. We had no choice as we didnt have resrevations anywhere and we ended up paying 100 dollars for the one night we were there. I liked the fact that the room had a microwave, refrigerator, free hbo, but it was dirty, had no soap/shampoo, and we had to go down to teh lobby to get more towels(only 2 towels were in the bathroom and one small handtowel). I say, try naming your price on priceline.com. Sure you wont know exactly the hotel you will get, but you can choose the star rating and area. I have gotten many great deals that way. For example, I stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt(by choosing a 4 star hotel in downtown) for only 90 plus tax. A room there in July was going for 299. I say thats the best way. Others Don't get to excited..it doesn't look like that....I actually live in Pt. L- Depending on what your budget is...I would look into Hotel Cirle...the Hawethorne Suites is decent and fair priced. Me! I think I stayed there once, The rooms were mostly rented by the hour with adult movies on the telivision. Whene I told the desk clerk that I wanted it for the night he looked surprized and said in that case I'll put clean sheets on the bed |
