Travel Info What is it like in la jolla calif??would i like living 51 years old lie long new englander? Travel Tips Have lived in and near La Jolla for 15 years or more. Is definately NOT the coolest place south of LA, but is a nice village. Easy walk to beach, tons of restaurants, light on the live music and night life. Tons of shops and galleries. A bit tough to fight your way onto the freeway at peak traffic hours. All and all a safe/sweet place. Source(s): Self. Lived in south end of la jolla (Birdrock) for some time, now living 15 minutes north (the coolest place south of LA) Other Travel Tips If you can afford it, La Jolla is one of the most beautiful placed to live in San Diego. Is got everything. La Jolla is beautiful. I know the homes are very expensive, but if you can afford it, it is breathtaking. I was just there earlier in the month and stayed at a B & B. The restaurants were wonderful, and the whole atmosphere was special. There are beaches, a pregnant seal beach, and plenty of areas for strolling. La Jolla is the coolest little community south of Los Angeles. The air is clean, it is near great golf courses and wonderful August horse racing at Del Mar. The restaurants are great and there is even a playhouse. It's close enough to San Diego and far enough away from Los Angeles. But, it is pricey. If you can afford it, go for it. I really can,t make heads or tales out of your? La Jolla is crowded, traffic is almost always 5 miles an hour, hard to find parking if you want to go to the beach or park, but it is beautiful, fantastic one of a kind shops, excellent restaurants and service, very pricey. La Jolla really is a gem of the Pacific, if you can afford it. Blubla Been there many times. |
