Any good Silicon Valley tech company tours? |
Travel Info I would like to take my parents on a tour of a tech company in the Silicon Valley area. Are there any tech companies or factories that give interesting tours? I don't have kids, so I am not looking for a kid-type tour. I have heard that Genentech does tours. Is that true? I couldn't find information on their website. Any good tour recommendations would be much appreciated! Travel Tips Right now Genentech isn't doing tours of any type.The campus has been secured and clearance to go in is VERY limited. It sounds as though you might be looking for more of a bio-tech company than a high tech,though if not,you might want to check with Sun Microsystems (www.sun.com) or maybe even HP.(Hewlett Packard).I know HP has had open houses and also shows the orginal gararge but not sure about organized tours. I'd check with HR departments or Marketing/Media Depts.If they don't have the answer, I'm sure they'll direct you to the proper contacts. Good luck! Others not really... intel has a museum |
