Best place to live in San Jose? |
Travel Info I am getting ready to move from NYC to San Jose California...Sillicon Valley. I know very little about the area and need to find a place to live. I am 24 male any suggestions? Travel Tips South San Jose - Almaden Valley area is a very nice place to live. I moved here 3 years ago from a very, very small town in northern, northern California and was actually afraid of the "big town feeling". However, since I moved here, I have found that South San Jose is a very friendly - and even more importantly - SAFE place to live. I don't agree with the other poster that South San Jose has a lot of gangs, etc. Others Best place to go to in San Jose......the airport......and head towards San Francisco. Best of Luck! I have lived in West San Jose all my life and I can tell you that it is the most decent area of San Jose. The East side and south side have quite a few gangsters and downtown is allright but almost on the same track as east and south. Santa Clara and Campbell are also both nice areas that are boarder line San Jose. check www.bayarea.com under classifieds for homes or apartments. Good Luck and welcome to the 408 try evergreen valley, or everygreen (same thing) really nice neighborhood The others have some good suggestions... Almaden Valley is nice, but pricey. Santa Clara is nice & a good central location. But Willow Glen (small area in SJ) & Campbell are awesome. Campbell would be good for a young single guy. Downtown Campbell has some cool restaurants & bars. |
