Travel Info Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get to and from the center of Sunnyvale from Almaden (and at what times) by car? Travel Tips Completely depends on when you go and how you go. If you go during rush hour in the morning on 85N, it can take anywhere from 35-50 minutes. In the summer, when traffic is less, its probably at the lower end of that estimate. Taking San Tomas or Lawrence Expressway are sometimes good alternatives if there's total gridlock. If you are talking about the weekend, you could easily do the trip in under 30 minutes.
