Where should we go for a romantic, relaxing weekend getaway in the Bay Area? |
Travel Info My husband's boss is sending us on a weekend getaway. We just have to pick a place and what we would like to do. Any suggestions? We live in California (Bay Area), near San Jose. Travel Tips Well i live in the bay area and know several really nice places to go, there is the bernardus lodge in carmel, but its pricy but EXTREMELY NICE!!!!! BEST FOR THE BUCKS> there also is the Ritz Carlton Hotel, in half moon bay and there is one in san francisco, but i depends what you want to do, calistoga is also nice so calistoga, ritz carlton, and bernardus lodge are all spa like resorts but they are also near the beach, but if you want more fun go to the Nicco or Nico hotel in San Fransisco it is really nice and near all the sites, you can come to santa cruz and there are all sorts of places to go, plus we have FABULOUS beaches spas and beach resorts plus lots of things to do for fun!!!!! i suggest a spa resort of anywhere REALLY close to the beach, may is great for all that stuff! Source(s): i live in santa cruz and have been to the places i listed Other Travel Tips Wine country works for some. I think going to Sonoma would be really relaxing and romantic. I'd recommend a bed and breakfast in Carmel by the Sea: quaint shops...cozy restaurants...and of course the pacific ocean... Carmel or Napa...or even Sonoma would be nice Sonoma Mission Inn Resort and Spa in Sonoma A few years ago my bf took me to Los Gatos to get away from San Jose for the weekend. We stayed at the La Hacienda Inn. It was very relaxing in Los Gatos, definitely a different atmosphere than in San Jose. If you like the outdoors/nature/mountains, you'll enjoy it there. |
