Travel Info Im considering going to Fresno State but i hear that Fresno is a bad area is this true? Travel Tips I live in Los Angeles, and I have to say that the neighborhoods that surround USC are not really that great. In fact, it鈥檚 the ghetto. But the campus itself is a self-contained oasis within that area. I went to UOP, and Stockton doesn鈥檛 have the greatest reputation. But that campus was somewhat insulated from the rest of the city. My point is that if Fresno State offers a program that meets you education needs, you should take the time to go tour the campus. Make arrangements with the school to spend the night in one of the campus dorms or apartments. You can speak to the students and find out what student life is really like in Fresno. Fresno is (after all) a sizable city. Then make a decision whether or not you want to spend four years of your life there. Others It is true, and lately with the influx of people from Los Angeles moving to Fresno, the crime has gotten even worse. Also there are no good paying jobs, and Fresno was just declared "meth capital" Fresno certainly isn't a great place ... I've never been there, but have heard the unemployment rate is very high as well as drugs being very predominant in people's lives. I hate you tell you its True'' fresno sucks? |
