Other Travel Tips
Let's see...
The Space Needle and the whole Seattle Center area created for the 1962 World's Fair (don't forget the Monorail ride there and back from downtown!)...
Pike Place Market--one of the greatest public market/fairs in the nation, and right in the heart of the city...
Mount Rainier (tallest mountain in contiguous US)...
Mount St. Helens (site of 1980 volcano)...
Vancouver, BC (a city just as beautiful as Seattle)...

And that's without thinking too hard. It's been a dozen years since I lived there, but I love it almost as much as my wife. :-)
Olympia, WA (parks, centers and its marina). The city of Seattle is self explanatory. Ocean shores off the coast. Mt. Rainer, Crystal Mt. White pass, Northe Bend, Mt. Si, Ape Caves @ Mt.St Helens and much more. All of these destinations are 1-3 hours apart of eachother. I have lived their all my life and their is nothing like Washington anywhere in the U.S. its great!!

There are almost too many to list -- many of the tourist sites are within a daytrip (albeit a long one).

What is your interest? Water? Mountains? Cities? How long a drive is too long?
Oooh go on the Seattle Underground tour!!! It's so fun, and tells the history of Seattle in a very entertaining way : )
Happy New Year!
