If any of you locals could give me some useful travel tips it would be appreciated. Travel Tips top photo op spots in Seattle 1. Pike Place Market 鈥?flower/veg vendors, Puget sound view 2. Seattle-Winslow ferry 鈥?round trip 鈥?good pix of Seattle Skyline 3. Kerry Park on Highland Drive 鈥?sculpture and downtown /space needle 4. Greenlake 鈥?rollerbladers, people watching 3 mile trail around the lake 5. Seattle waterfront 6. International District 鈥?dragon sculptures 7. Skagit Valley Tulip Festival 鈥?if you have time and a car to go north to see great flowers Source(s): http://www.pikeplacemarket.org http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries... http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkspaces/... http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkspaces/... http://www.ci.seattle.wa.us/tour/water.h... http://www.cidbia.org/default.htm... http://www.tulipfestival.org/ Other Travel Tips Lived there 4 yrs 99 - 03 ask??? Rev. Steven My sister lived in Seattle for a few years while she was in the Navy. We went to Mt. Baker, which is probably about an hour and a half drive, but definitley worth it. Also went to the EMP (exprerience music project) in downtown Seattle. If you're a music fan, definitely check it out. Also, they have the best marijuana in Seattle, since they are so close to British Columbia. Have Fun. there is really good eating from around the world. if you want to take a dip into international cuisene its Seattle or NYC. The Pike Place market is a lot of fun and there are lots of parks... I recomend Gas Works, or Lincon Park in West seattle. A good day trip if you looking to burn a little day light is vashon island hmmm. If your a shopper the university village is good. Also go down to pioneer Square and visit all the little shops, some of which have been around since the 1800's. There are tons of little theaters and even smaller art galeries so plays and galleries are also a nice thing to see Last thing... One night in your stay you must go down to jazz ally (btw you can only enter through the alley entrence) the music and food is great. been living here since day one I think you got a pretty good list from "bartzturkeymom", but I'll add Alki beach. Beautiful spot. Definately visit Kerry park, like she suggested, in Queen Anne. You can get great pictures of the cityscape from there. Of course, the Space Needle observation deck is always a good view not only of the city, but also surrounding bodies of water and mountain ranges. I would not recommend paying admission to the Experience music project unless you're a big history of music fan. Very expensive. But you could get some pictures of the building from outside, if it interested you. |
