it actually depends in what are you live in. the city life is pretty close to nyc's life but near renton ain't all that good. people are cool but i didn't like it much. i guess the weather is okay but it can get really lame. i wouldn't recommend living there but nice place to visit, especially the city and river/lake. Seattle is always rated highly as a place to live. People are friendly, food is outstanding and the weather is not extremely hot or cold. Like any city we have bad traffic during rush hours. We complain about the rain, but people in Phoenix and Florida complain about the sun.
We moved here from the South, there's things we miss, but we have no desire to leave Seattle.
Forget what people have told you. You're the one who will determine how life is here. An open mind will be your guide.
