Downtown seattle? |
Travel Info what's it like?, is it cool? what's there to do Travel Tips Dowmtowm Seattle is a hub of shopping, business, dining, clubs, concert venues, people watching, great views, and even street performers. I used to take the metro bus downtown on Saturday mornings and shop the sales at Nordstroms or buy great food at Pike Place Market. I'd graze my way past DiLaurentis, Chicken Valley, Market Spice Tea, then sit and listen to folks play guitar or hammered dulcimer, finally heading back home loaded down with fresh bread, honey, cheese, salmon and veggies. When I got home my feet were sore, but my spirit soared. check out some of the attached links below. Be sure to check out Pikeplace market and go to pier 72 for the coolest maritime shop ever. It's right on the water and Seattle is gorgeous. Also go to the space needle. It's sweet. You won't be disappointed. Don't foget to eat at Ivars, take the trolley just for a kick, if you're going to have transportation, take the ferry to Bainbridge,,, my former home/Island/roosting place, and then go beyond. Also,,,, Don't worry about Winters or rain in the area. In 4 years I experienced two snow storms, neither more than 8 inches and gone in 2 days. Also,,,I live in Central Florida, and I believe we get as much rain here as I experienced in that area of Washington. Check out the cultural venues as well, Art_Not Terminal maybe, or the Theater on 5th. And if you enjoy scenery, or a panoramic view, all you need do is stand on a high enough point of land and turn 360 degrees. Where else in the country can you see two mountain ranges that shelter a city, and out of the corner of your eye, see the tallest Mnt. in the country, as if it was just outside the skyline limits. Safe Journeys,,,I'm, envious,,,sigh Rev. Steven Life,,,in some respects,,,Still There Modified 1 year ago |
