Seattle and Rain?

Travel Info
Why is that when people get on here and ask a question it is about the same stupid question "does it rain in Seattle alot". I'm born and raised in the Seattle area and there is so much more to the place than rain and clouds. Do we get a fair amount of cloudy days yes but from a rain stand point, it rains more in Miami, FL than in Seattle. Also, out of most major cities, Seattle's air quality is better than most "due to all the rain" call me crazy but the air I breathe is important to me. Another thing, if Seattle were just this damp dreary place where it rained all the time, than why is consistently voted in the type five of most fittest cities in the country as compared to "warm weather" places such as Phoenix and LA. News flash clean air and overcast help you breathe easier be more comfortable than having the sun beating you to death and breathing unhealthy air. In a nutshell don't judge a place as whole based on how many days of sun it gets!!!

Travel Tips
Quit telling people it's so great here. We already have a massive traffic problem. Are you trying to convince people to move here? If they think it sucks, they won't come.

THAT'S A GOOD THING.

so...um...your question is...??? Thanks for the 2 free points.
frasier country!
I agree with you. I'm from Tacoma and that is the same question everybody asks at my university when they came to town. I guess it's the constant overcast and gray sky during non-summer seasons that gives the impression the area is rainy and damp, which is true to a certain points.
People need to visit this place during the summer because it is gorgeous! The water and Mt. Rainier are so beautiful to look at. It is recognized as one the most beautiful places of the nation during the summertime!
One more thing, us here at the North West are proud of our healthy diets and excercises even though we don't get to get out alot like other places. Just visit the Pike Market Place and you'll see.
Seattle is a beautiful place!
I lived in Seattle for five years and I absolutely loved it there!! I got transferred to a different state with my job, but I definitely plan to move back there again soon. Yea, I hear what people say about Seattle. A lot of people think that there is nothing but grunge people sitting around drinking Starbucks all day long and its not true. I love Seattle because its not a big city like New York, but there is a lot to do there. I love the Space Needle, the food is great, a bit expensive, but still great. Plus you got Mt Rainier nearby, great skiing, Pike Place Market, and of course Puget Sound which is absolutely beautiful. Heck, let people think that it rains all the time in Seattle, this will keep them all away and not overcrowd the area!
I used to live in Seattle and I think it is a great place to live as well. I live in Florida now and if you try to run outside in the summer you can get a heat stroke. Seattle has the best of all worlds, beautiful scenery for drives on the weekend, lots of excellent restaurants, the San Juan islands. Don't get me wrong, I love Florida but as you said it rains a lot here and we get hurricanes.
I love Seattle, it's not crowded like big cities in the States, moreover, it's air is so clean, there's hardly any insects, and the rain keeps dust away all the time, fresh air, beatiful scinery, friendly poeple !!!
What else can a person wish !
