Travel Info Wear is the best place to go in seatle or tacoma? Travel Tips My place is very fun! Tacoma...well they talk about the aroma, and not in a good way. Compared to Seattle it's a ghetto and doesn't have the attractions. Depends how long you are going to be here. If its a day trip to Seattle then...Pikes Place Market, the Ballard locks, kayaking on East lake from Casa Verde restaurant, Discovery park, Alki Beach. I think the Space Needle or Monorail are way over rated. Not fun, not cheap, and you're just another one of the tourists. If it's more than a day then Olympic peninsula via ferry to hurricane ridge, Sol Duck hot springs, the Hoe rain forest. There is too much to list in Seattle and the surrounding area...it's sunny, I've got to go out and no waste my time telling you about what I'm missing...bye. Others I really enjoyed Pikes Market! I also had lunch in the cafe where Rob Reiner and Tom Hanks had lunch in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" There is also the space needle.... You will have alot of fun, I'm sure! Personal experience! :-) It depends on what you mean by 'best'? There are tons of tourist attractions, from the Space Needle to Pike Place Market. If you want food, I recommend Chinois on Madison, or Thompson's Point of View on Union. The first is sushi, and absolutely amazing, though kinda pricey. The second is a neighborhood secret, down-home southern cooking, with live music on the weekends and a bar that the locals flock to often. The food is amazing, and the bartenders are great.
