East Coast? |
Travel Info I'm born and raised East Coast, From Rahway N.J. to Coloumbus Ind.and then to "I hate to say it" West Virginia with some Va & Fla throwed in, It stinks , its dirty and the air in WV is commonly called Cancer Alley, Dont get me wrong , this is where i've been raised and I guess I call it home and the people ,well most people are wonderful. I must say thought I'm coming to Washington and Oregon soon , and its so great there,I think I'll have found a New place to call my home.I dont plan to ever come back east. All you that live there are so blessed its so beautiful . Travel Tips You're right about one thing: The Pacific Northwest is an ideal place to live. It has everything: Mild weather, culture, beauty, diversity, history... I miss it horribly, lol. There are so many things that are awesome about it. I think the only things I missed about the South (and the East) when I lived in the Pacific Northwest were the thunderstorms and the lightning bugs. Even though I did see the occasional thunderstorm. I guess that's what I love about Germany. Here we get the best of every world, except Starbucks. And Indian food. And Shari's. Yum. Others thanks :) I have lived in Seattle all my life. When the weather is good, there is probably no place I'd rather be. I was born and raised in Oregon, It's nickname is God's country. It is beautiful and the people are really great. Enjoy the landscapes and the sports. I too have lived on the East Coast, the weather alone is enough to drive a sane person out. humidity and the summers and snow in the winters... I live in Oregon now, almost perfect here. the only thing missing is the lightening bugs, wish we could import them. I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Parents moved us to Georgia. Got married and had a daughter and ended up moving to Bend, Oregon for 5-6 years where I had a son, and now are living back in Georgia, where I had another son. I've driven across the US twice - once through the middle of the country, the next time we took the southern route. I've seen many places and thought I'd like to try living there one day, but my favorite place to live so far - the west coast, most definitely! (If it hadn't been for my mother-in-law being diagnoised with cancer we'd still be living there!) Wow, first time I've heard of WV being referred to as "cancer alley". I mean obviously with all the factories, industry and mucho grande cities in that state I can see how the air there would be in terrible shape. Not to mention the lack of trees, wilderness and open spaces. It's a wonder how people even survive there! Of course there is no comparison of NJ to WV. NJ smells great and the air in that state is so wonderfully clean! They have really done a good job there. Seriously my dear, I'm sure Washington and Oregon are beautiful and I do hope to visit some day but you may want to keep your roots in check. However I don't believe that the people of "I hate to say it" WV will miss you. WV'ian in TX via GA & MD |
