Other Travel Tips I love Seattle! It wasn't as rainy as people make it out to be- in my opinion. I lived there a year. You get the best of both worlds: beautiful mountains AND ocean (i'm from Colo.) Seattle has great culture, fabulous restaurants, museums, Starbucks on every corner (haha), and the Pike Place market. The houses are beautiful, there's lots to see. You can go do mountain activities, or ride ferries and go whale watching. The things I didn't like were the traffic and it seemed to have slightly more crime than where I'm from (Denver)...and thats kinda it. If you like a real metropolitan, artsy, buzzing city feel, but also don't mind some rain and clouds, then it's absolutely LOVELY. There's also so many little towns to go visit all around Seattle. I love Gig Harbor and Port Orchard, and Bainbridge Island is also fun to go see... {Personally, I adore cloudy days.} Modified 1 year ago I hope you like rain! They've got a really good (I mean amazing) McDonalds. There is a library build by Rem Koolhaas, a dutch architect. This must be a very interesting building! |
