I'm moving to Seattle soon. Do you have any tips on where I could find an affordable apartment?

Travel Info
I'd like to find a nice studio apartment in the $300-$400 a month range. The cheaper and the closer it is to downtown Seattle the better but I'm willing to venture up to north Seattle if I find a good deal. Wedgwood, for example, seems nice.

Travel Tips
first hill seems like the cheapest, and close to downtown. but i think the going rate is $450-495. you will probably have to head north to stay in your price range. bargains can be found, though, so don't give up. i also recommend craigslist. i found 2 apartments through craigslist.

Others
look at craigslist.org i know they have listings for appts &jobs all throuought the country adn seattle might be one of the places that they support.
Craigslist does cover the Seattle area and is a good place to start. You can also try www.nwclassifieds.com.

That rent seems pretty low for most of Seattle, though.

i'm gonna tell you flat out that virtually nothing in Seattle is cheap. might try downtown , but usually its hard to find stuff down there. might try wedgewood, woodinville, monroe (about an hour from seattle).
