Where is the best place to live in Seattle? |
Travel Info Where is the best place to live in Seattle? Travel Tips This kind of depends on your age and what you are interested in. I personally like the Green Lake area. This is a neighborhood surrounding Green Lake - a place where people jog, bike, walk, hang out. There are lots of trendy restaurants and cafes, athletic clubs and some tremendous views. It provides easy access to I-5 (the main freeway going North and South), 520 (freeway to Eastside of Kirkland and Bellevue) and to the University of Washington. There are lots of older homes in this area and some apartments. If you really want to live downtown Seattle, check out Bell Town. Check out http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/webtowns/... for info about all the neighborhoods in the Seattle area. Others Try the U district or Ballard. Both are happnin' hotspots. The great thing about Seattle is the different "flavors" of neighborhoods. The best place to live depends on what you're looking for in a neighborhood. For my own purposes, if I could afford it, I'd buy a house on Green Lake because you've got the park, shops and restaurants all within walking distance and the vibe is very friendly and relaxed. If you want a more urban experience, Belltown has high-rise apartments and lots of bars and clubs. I live in Ballard and I love it because it's got a real sense of community, although it's getting really hot lately with a lot of new condos going in, so the "flavor" will undoubtedly change over the next couple of years. best place to live in Washington? It's a funky, friendly, liberal-ish neighborhood, kind of like a mini college town. :) |
