I will be going to Seattle for a vacation? What is there to do in Seattle? |
Travel Info Any suggestions? Travel Tips Seattle is a great city! I have lots of suggestions, you should visit... * the Pike Place Market where the first Starbucks shop is located; * the Space Needle (but you can go to the Bank of America tower and have a even better view of the city, but it costs much less) * Waterfall gardens (on Second Ave) * Pioneer Square (beautiful totem poles there and there is also an Underground tour, where you can walk under the streets and see how Seattle was before the great fire) * Volunteer Park * Seattle Art Museum (the first Thursday of every month, you don`t pay to get in) * Harbor Steps (there is a giant Pi symbol there - it`s across the street of the art museum) * Waterfront * Curiosity shop - it`s funny.... hehehhe Well, there are lots of things to do! I just love Seattle!!! Others visit puget sound, eat at what was renees restaraunt in the spin needle tower. might not be there any more but I am sure they still have a revolving restaraunt. get outside of seattle and hike through the largest forest in any one state. fishing is great. visit mt. st. helens and mt. rainier. The underground tour is great, ask around Pioneer Square. Experience music project take a ferry ride to bainbridge or vashon island see the space needle pike place market http://www.emplive.org/ www.undergroundtour.com/ www.pikeplacemarket.org Tour Microsoft. Also check out the fisherman industrial coast areas. Also, visit the area malls and clubs. You won't have to look hard there for Kurt Cobain tribute memorials in the right places. Modified 1 year ago I think the most popular tourist attraction is Pike Place Market. Check out the guys throwing fish and take in the wonderful views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Pack a picnic (you can get supplies at the Market!) and take a ferry ride. Go to Blake Island for a salmon bake. Go for a bike ride around Vashon Island. Visit Green Lake and rent roller skates or a bike (or just walk) around the Lake. Stop at Dukes for a cold beer and a bite to eat. Eat on the terrace if you can. Visit the UW campus. Walk through the Arboretum. Go to Westlake Mall. Go up the Space Needle and eat in the revolving restaurant. Take a Sea Plane to San Juan Islands. Take the Hydrofoil to Victoria B.C. Visit Woodland Park Zoo (you can do this when you visit Green Lake). Visit Alki Beach and go to the Alki Bakery...YUM! Eat at Spuds Fish and Chips. Check out this website for additional info: http://www.concierge.com/destination/sea... Bring your umbrella and a smile! So much to do, so little time! |
