Could anyone tell me what's the best deal to stay in Seattle, around the UniofW area? |
Travel Info I'll be going to the design conference in Seattle in July held by icograda. I am wondering if anyone knows what's the best place to stay, yet cheap. I am thinking not to spend over USD$700 for the whole trip (for air fare and hotel). It'll be a 5 night stay arriving 11th departing 16th. Also, anyone's going there? Willing to share a room? Travel Tips Since UW is so close to Seattle, most of the hotels are going to be quite expensive. Around $100+ a night. You can never go wrong with Holiday Inn. I found a Days Inn room for about $75 a night that was 10 miles north of Seattle. Like I said, quite expensive near the city. A hostel would be good if you don't mind those conditions (personally, I hate hostels). If you can, try to stay at a hotel near the Sea-Tac Airport. You see, because there are too many hotels there, the prices are quite cheap because they aren't making enough money to support themselves. I can't even tell you how many times hotels have gone bankrupt or changed ownership around there. You can find anything from a Super 8 Motel to a Ramada Inn in the $45-$80 price range. Hope this helps, if not, a little in your search and good luck! Source(s): http://www.hotels.com/processsearch.do?d... Other Travel Tips hell military bases are the best rates, but u need to have a military id to get in. us army Try one of the Youth Hostels. You don't have to be young to stay there. Just search under Hostels, Seattle, WA. Good luck! There is no such thing as even reasonable. $700 no way. One of my best friends was in a trauma hospital last Dec. I stayed with his wife. The hospital said that they had special rates at a motel. The special rate was $75 per person in what used to be a YMCA. She was using a walker and there was no elevator. We were placed on the 3rd floor. It cost me $25 to park my car in an empty lot with no other cars anywhere or my car would have been towed. Good Luck!!!!! |
